Good Morning All Saints’ Family,

Sunday was sunny and cool. There were 16 people at the 8:00 AM service and 72 in attendance at the 10:00 AM service. It was the Sunday Of The Passion:Palm Sunday. The service began in the Common Room with The Liturgy Of The Palms. The Gospel Reading was from Mark 11:1-11 (see attached). We learn from this passage the arrival and celebration of Jesus’ entering into Jerusalem at the beginning of Holy Week. The Blessing over the Branches was done and the palms were distributed. The congregation then processed out onto 215 Street singing the Processional Hymn, “All Glory, Laud And Honor” to the front of the church. A station was said and the procession then continued into the church, where a figure eight was done, as the congration took their seats. The Gradual Hymn between the Lessons was, “The Palms” and the Sequence Hymn was, “Ride On! Ride On In Majesty.” The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Mark 14:1-15:47, was then read by the parishioners. The Offertory Anthem was, “My Song Is Love Unknown.” The Communion Hymns were, “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross” and “Humbly I Adore Thee, Verity Unseen.” The Post-Communion Hymn was, “O Sacred Head, Sore Wounded” and the Recessional Hymn was, “At The Name Of Jesus.” A big thank you to our Altar Guild ladies for decorating the church, so beautifully on Saturday for Palm Sunday! Also, happy anniversary to Arkady Leytush, who celebrates three years at All Saints’ as our Organist and Choirmaster!

The palms were given by Florence Klotsche and family to the glory of God and in loving memory of Howard Klotsche and Elsie Behrens. The Sanctuary and Vigil Lamps were given by Claudia Hajian to the glory of God and in loving memory of her father, Eddie Hajian. The bread and wine of the Eucharist were given by Taylor, Jeff, and Tina Dugas to the glory of God and in celebration of Jeanine Carroll’s birthday.

The Coffee Hour, as always, was bursting with energy as our parishioners caught up with each other. The Coffee Hour was hosted by the Church School. There were brownies, cakes, cookies and French toast bake for all to enjoy with their coffee and tea. It was once again, a beautiful Sunday at All Saints’!

Have a great week and hope to see many you during the week at the various services and events, but will definitely see you all next Sunday!
