Good Morning All Saints’ Family,
Sunday morning was breezy and sunny. There were 15 people at the 8:00 AM service and 47 in attendance at the 10:00 AM service. It was the Fifth Sunday Of Easter. The Processional Hymn was, “We Know That Christ Is Raised And Dies No More” and the Sequence Hymn was, “In Christ There Is No East Or West.” The Gospel Reading was from John 15:1-8
“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me—and I in him—bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My Father is honored by this, that you bear much fruit and show that you are my disciples."
We learn from this passage of God being the vine-grower, Jesus Christ the vine and his followers the branches, whom bear fruit. We abide in Jesus’s teaches and continue to branch out to others to teach and spread his message. The Offertory Anthem was, “If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments.” The Communion Hymns were, “Abide With Me” and “Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God.” The Recessional Hymn was, “O Love, How Deep, How Broad, How High.”
The altar flowers were given by Nina Selvaggio to the glory of God and in loving memory of David Selvaggio (3-21-1926 – 4-29-2011).
The Coffee Hour, as usual, was full of energy and laughter, as our parishioners and guests greeted one another. The Coffee Hour was hosted by “Amana.” There were cakes, doughouts and pastries for all to enjoy with their coffee and tea. It was another wonderful Sunday at All Saints’!
